Safety Helmet
Industrial helmet enquiries with the correct impact, retention and workplace exposure specification.
Safety Helmet: purpose and application
An industrial safety helmet helps address specified head hazards in workplaces such as construction, maintenance and materials handling. Its performance depends on the model, suspension and intended use. A hard shell alone does not establish electrical, side-impact or work-at-height suitability. Firefighter helmets are a separate category.
Selection and specification
Provide the required standard, task, working environment and accessory needs. Review impact classification, electrical properties if required, suspension adjustment, chin strap and compatibility with earmuffs or eye protection. Work-at-height tasks may require a different retention arrangement. Ask for manufacturing and replacement information for the exact model.
Installation, inspection and limitations
Inspect shell, harness and attachments for cracks, wear, UV degradation and chemical damage. Follow replacement instructions after impact and during normal service. Do not drill the shell or fit unapproved accessories. Paints and stickers can affect some helmets, so follow manufacturer guidance for identification markings.

Common questions
Is a construction helmet suitable for firefighting?
Not by default. Firefighting needs equipment selected for the particular thermal and operational hazards.
